Suspend backoff wakelock on android device

This is a non hacking post.. This is about the suspend backoff wakelock that is seen on some devices running android.. when you check in apps such as better battery stats , you can see that the suspend backoff wakelock is active for most of the time. and hence the phone does not go into deep sleep. due to this there is heavy battery drain and the phone's battery lasts for only few hours.. The main solution that you would find for this wakelock online, if you have searched for it, will be ragrding some problem on google chrome ... However, I found out that this suspend backoff wakelock can occur through another app.. the culprit app is avg antivirus.. the wakelock is active whenever you use the app lock feature of avg antivirus. as long as an app is locked with the avg feature, the wakelock will be active.. So to stop battery drain, and to stop suspend backoff wakelock, just make sure that no app is locked with the avg feature — Ankur Mehta , Hackup's

Concept behind AntiVirus Softwares and Various Visus

How Antivirus Software Works & Different Types of Viruses Table of Contents: Introduction Size Pattern Matching Detecting Injections Hashing Deeper Threats Protection/Virtual Machines More Information Closing Statement Introduction While there are many different styles of viruses and attacks, a lot of antivirus software deployed relies on a currently known threats or vulnerabilities. It is hard to defend against an unknown vector of attack (I use virus here generically), but some basic attacks/detections are as follows: Size An easy way to detect if a file has been altered is the size of the file. Some viruses like to tack on their malicious code at the end of the file, and that is a dead giveaway when an antivirus scanner scans it. It compares the before and after sizes, and if there has been no modification by the user, it suspects some malicious activity. Although this used to be the case a very long time ago but hasn't been a reliable vector...

There are several types of hash which are: 1.MD4 (Message-Digest algorithm 4) - MD4 is made by Ronald Rivest (famous cryptographer) in October 1990, MD4 is a hash function that is used prior to MD5, but because of the many shortcomings make it replaced by MD5 MD4. - Length of 16 bytes (32 characters) - Example: 31d6cfe0d16ae931b73c59d7e0c089c0 2.   MD5 (Message-Digest algorithm 5) - MD5 was designed by Ronald Rivest in 1991 to replace earlier hash function, MD4. In the year 1996 (http://id.wikipedia.org/wiki/MD5) - Used in phpBB v2.x, Joomla version 1.0.13 and below are used by some of the CMS and forum - Length is 16 bytes (32 characters) - Example: c4ca4238a0b...
